Rachael Freed
RACHAEL
FREED (formerly Rhoda Levin), health care consultant, clinical
social worker and cardiac spouse, is the founder of Heartmates,
Inc. Working in healthcare since 1973, Ms. Freed relates the
experiences of the many families she has worked with over the
years, weaving in her own experience and wisdom to inspire
heartmates and healthcare professionals. Ms. Freed has been
interviewed widely on radio and television, educating the public
about families in health crises, and programs and services for
families of people with life-threatening and chronic illness.
Ms. Freed, MSW, an emeritus Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, is a pioneer in the field of family care when a family member has a life-threatening illness. A seminar leader, professional trainer, and consultant to health care institutions worldwide, Ms. Freed has trained thousands of helping professionals to expand their knowledge and skills to help cardiac families heal.
